Michelle Cherner is a dedicated Resource Specialist Teacher at Westwood Charter Elementary in Region West, currently completing her second year in the iCAAP program with resource teaching experience at Garden Grove Elementary, Portola Charter Middle School, and Serrania Elementary in Region North.
A passionate advocate for inclusive education and neurodiversity, Michelle was diagnosed with autism at 28. She embraces her identity and works tirelessly to advocate for increased representation and support for neurodiverse individuals. Now 35, Michelle remains committed to fostering understanding and creating more inclusive environments. As a proud alumna of the LAUSD, she is deeply dedicated to giving back to the community that played a pivotal role in her growth.
