About me
Ashley Joseph currently works with the Los Angeles Unified School District in a specialized assignment supporting the mental health needs of schools, students, families, teachers, and staff, while prioritizing the needs of Black students and Black student achievement through high academic performance, strong social-emotional awareness and management, and positive cultural identity. She is called to operate solely in a non-punitive, therapeutic role and enjoys that part about the job the most! Ashley utilizes LAUSD's SEL core competencies, LAUSD's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices, and other culturally relevant therapeutic methods to foster and reinforce social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and coping skills in elementary-school-aged children. Take care of yourself and be well!
